The Fullness of His Forgiveness & His Love

Ephesians 1:5-6

For it was always His perfect plan to adopt us as His delightful
children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that
His tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify his
grace-for the same love He has for His Beloved One, Jesus, He
has for us. And this unfolding plan brings Him great pleasure!

Yes! He is speaking about YOU, His beloved daughter or son.
The one He loves so dearly. Bringing you into His family is what
He planned and desired from the beginning. This brings Him
great pleasure! YOU are His delight.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of us truly knowing
His passionate love for us and His thoughts towards us. As we
seek Him and His love, He promises to draw near to us (James
4:8). This is one of the greatest invitations we could ever receive.
For me, the process of being able to receive and fully realize His
tender love, began with forgiveness. Forgiveness of myself and
forgiveness of those that caused me deep pain. God is gracious
and faithful. When we yield to Him, He will help us very gently
along a path of healing and love. A path of understanding the
power of the cross. A path to give us perspective of how Jesus
forgives humanity. When we embark on this journey of
understanding, we will find the courage to forgive ourselves and
forgive those that have hurt us.
How do I begin this process of learning or relearning the fullness
of the cross? Begin by spending time reading scriptures and
stories in the Bible of forgiveness and what God does with our sin.

1 John 1:9 …”He is faithful and just and will give our sins and
cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness.”

Psalms 103:12…”Farther than from a sunrise to a sunset – that’s

how far you’ve removed our guilt from us.”

Over and over we find that He forgets, He has compassion, He
redeems, He rewrites the story, He removes our sin from us as far
as the east is from the west. Keep these scriptures before you.
Ask God to give you revelation of His forgiveness. One way that
He answered this prayer for me was through my future husband
showing me forgiveness and seeing me as Jesus did. This act of
love began to open my heart to help me realize the full gravity of
the power of the cross.
What else is critical to the process of receiving and understanding
His sweet love? Actively seek the Word of God to know who God
says you are, who God calls you, and what He thinks of you. We
have to carve out time to mediate on these truths, speak them,
and be still in His presence. He will draw us near and love on us.
He says we’re no longer slaves to sin! Romans 6:6
He called us and made us His very own beloved children! 1 John
3:1
We are God’s chosen treasure! 1 Peter 2:9
We are God’s Masterpiece! His poetry! Ephesians 2:10
We are named His most intimate friends! John 15:15
We are new creations in Christ Jesus! 2 Corinthians 5:17

He takes delight in us and rejoices over us with joyful songs.
Zephaniah 3:17

Father God, I pray that those reading this right now would be
encouraged by your Holy Spirit. I thank you that your Word is true
and that you delight in your precious children. Thank you for
giving us a depth of knowledge and understanding of your
forgiveness and passionate love for us. Help us to receive that
love and walk in the fullness of what you have called us to do. In

Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Philippians 1:6… “Being confident that He who began a good
work in your will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ
Jesus.”

God is working in us and longs for us to know His love even more
than we do and absolutely nothing can separate us from His
sweet love (Romans 8:38).

I want to leave you with a story I heard a minister share of a friend
who asked, “When God looks at me, what does He see?” The
answer is that He sees Jesus. He sees you in the Beloved, in
Christ, and in the blood that has been shed for you by His dear
Son.
Because of this HIS thoughts towards you are thoughts of loving-
kindness, forgiveness, blessings, and favor.
I encourage you to be still before Him. Open your heart. Wait in
His presence and let His extravagant forgiveness and love gently
cascade over you.

You are LOVED. You are HIS.
Thank you for reading,
Riann
